Frequently asked questions

Where is the most romantic place to stay in the Cotswolds?

The most romantic stays in the Cotswolds are in old stone buildings with privacy and character. Our ground-floor apartment in an 18th-century Cirencester building has exposed stone, beams and an inglenook fireplace, with a private patio, a short walk from restaurants in the town centre.

Is the Cotswolds good for a romantic weekend in winter?

Yes. Winter weekends are quieter, the villages are calmer, and prices are often lower than in summer. Short days suit long lunches and evenings in. Pack boots, as footpaths can be muddy between November and March. Book Saturday dinner ahead, as fewer places open late in winter.

Can we check in late on a Friday?

Yes. Our Cirencester homes use self check-in from 3pm, so you can arrive late on a Friday evening without waiting for anyone. We send arrival instructions before the stay, including how to reach the property and where to park. Let us know your rough arrival time.

Are your romantic flats suitable for a proposal weekend?

Yes, and many couples choose a Cotswolds weekend for that reason. Tell us when you book, and we will help with timing, such as the earliest check-in we can offer. Decorations must be removed before you leave, and candles should be used with care.
